The Battlax BT46 tire: the new reference tire for touring

The Battlax BT46 is intended to replace the iconic Battlax BT45. Since its introduction 22 years ago, the Battlax BT45 has been the tire of choice for touring. Now, Bridgestone has improved this design with modern technology. The Battlax BT46 features a reversed V-shape in the front pattern - it combats the working forces on the tire, reduces irregular wear, and provides the rider with incredible feedback for superior handling. The rear tire is enhanced with a newly adapted single-component silica compound to maximize performance, grip, and wear. Wet performance has been improved compared to the BT45, without impacting the dry handling performance and wear resistance known from its predecessor. And the BT46 is compatible with the UM application: tubeless marked tires are approved for mounting on tube type rims if used with an inner tube.
