Quad luggage
Whatever the make of your quad, installing luggage on it will be a great help. Here's everything you need to know about the different quad luggage systems.
What is the purpose of quad luggage?
Apart from a few basic storage compartments, most quad models don't feature any real luggage systems. However, when your quad is used as a professional vehicle, or for long day or half-day excursions, having luggage can be very practical. You'll be able to store mechanical equipment, gear, a gas can, or simply a snack or bottle of water. Some quad bags are large enough to hold your helmet when you take a break and park somewhere.
What type of luggage should I choose for my quad?
There are several types of quad luggage. Your choice will depend not only on the model of your quad, but also on the storage capacity you think you'll need. If you need to store bulky items or large quantities of equipment, it's best to opt for a rear box, front box or roof box. You can also buy a crate. If you just need some extra luggage to store a few tools and a sandwich, then you can choose something smaller and more discreet, like a pannier or door bags.
How do I install luggage on my quad?
In general, quad luggage systems are very easy to install. Each model of quad bag comes with its own fastening system and instructions. Most of the time, bags or panniers are fitted with small straps or Velcro fasteners to be attached to the door or between the seats. The same applies to soft trunks and gun racks. Rigid cases, however, are more complex to install and are usually fitted with screw systems.
