The Battlax BT46 tire is the new benchmark tire for touring motorcycles. It replaces the famous Battlax BT45, which has been the preferred choice of motorcyclists for 22 years. Bridgestone has enhanced this design by incorporating the latest technologies. The Battlax BT46 features an inverted V-shape on the front pattern, allowing it to better handle the forces at work on the tire, reduce uneven wear, and provide the rider with an incredible feeling for superior handling. The rear tire is reinforced with a newly adapted single-component silica compound to maximize performance, grip, and wear. Wet weather performance has been improved compared to the BT45, without compromising the renowned handling performance and wear resistance of its predecessor. Additionally, the BT46 is compatible with the UM application: tubeless marked tires are approved for mounting on tube type rims if used with an inner tube.

Bridgestone has specially developed this tire to cover the wide range of competing motorcycles in the touring segment. Available in 21 sizes for the front and 27 sizes for the rear. Ten main sizes will be launched in January 2020, with a full range rollout to follow quickly.
