Excellent Longevity
The TOURANCE™ NEXT stands out with a dual compound tread, whose specifications are derived from Metzeler's expertise in creating renowned sport touring tires. The two main objectives of the project are exceptional performance on wet surfaces and longevity. This combination marked the beginning of a new generation of compounds, whose best performances are achieved thanks to Metzeler's patented mixing process, capable of obtaining an unparalleled level of homogeneity in compounds dispersed within the polymeric matrix, contributing to the longevity and regular wear of the tire.

Grip on All Types of Asphalt
To ensure optimal performance in the enduro street segment on wet surfaces, including critical conditions such as cornering grip and emergency braking, Metzeler has designed a high-dispersion silica-based mix, high-performance synthetic polymers, resins, and plasticizers. The rear dimension of the TOURANCE™ NEXT adopts a dual compound solution, where the central band is approximately 40 mm wide, ensuring a total contact area in a straight line, and is composed of 50% silica and carbon black, optimizing longevity and traction. The side compound is entirely silica, ensuring maximum chemical grip on wet surfaces, as well as excellent traction in all other conditions. The front dimensions contain a high proportion of silica (> 50%) mixed with various polymers and resins, offering exceptional handling as well as effective grip during braking and cornering. The tread pattern ensures that the 100% silica compound is activated as soon as the motorcycle leans to enter the corner, providing remarkable riding confidence and a sense of security.

Stability in All Conditions
The front tire of the TOURANCE™ NEXT is characterized by an extremely rigid structure, made with rayon fibers, ensuring stability even at high speeds and when the motorcycle is loaded with luggage or a passenger. The rear tire integrates Interact™ technology, with a three-zone layout and variable tensions, offering predictable behavior and excellent sporty capabilities. This specific structure maximizes lateral support and trajectory precision in corners, providing the end user with remarkable handling and improved stability. Interact™ technology maximizes the benefits of the dual compound technology, as the transition between different compounds is moderated by the variable rigidity of the carcass, allowing for a progressive response from the tire.

Interaction with ABS
The profiles of the TOURANCE™ NEXT have been developed in parallel with the structure to maximize its road and touring behavior. The profile is rounded in the intermediate area and flatter in the center. The sidewalls have a more rounded profile, coupled with a rigid internal structure, which improves shock absorption capacity and driving comfort. This optimizes shock absorption on dirt roads and perfectly complements the ABS system, which requires real force absorption by the tire to improve the anti-lock effect.
