BLADE Snow blades for quad bikes
When it comes to winter and its various episodes of bad weather, it's useful to have a quad equipped with an adapted snow plough for fast, efficient snow clearing. Of course, you'll need the right equipment to save time and ensure a stress-free winter experience.
How to choose the right quad snow ploughs?
First of all, you need to take into account the model and model number of your machine, its size, weight and, above all, its lifting capacity, in order to determine the right snow plough for it. The challenge is to find precisely the blade that will enable you to clear the maximum amount of snow in a single pass. And don't forget to choose a snow plough whose width exceeds that of the quad in the oriented position, to prevent the machine's wheels from slipping in the snow.
Last but not least, a quad snow plough kit should include a complete mounting system, supplied with everything you need to start clearing snow. In particular, the snow plough and the appropriate push arm (preferably both made of steel).
Features of quad snow ploughs
Opting for a quad as a snowplow is a great choice. It offers great freedom of movement and lets you reach areas that are difficult to access with other types of machine. What's more, the most common types of snow plough are generally compatible with quads. In other words, a straight blade, a V-blade and a canted blade can all be fitted. However, only the single-blade system is possible, as quad blades can only incorporate a wear blade.
As for blade control, electric, hydraulic and mechanical control mechanisms are all compatible. Finally, technical accessories such as side deflectors and levelling wheels can be added to quad blades.
The importance of quad snow plough material
It's important to choose the material of your quad blade with care. Remember that to clear fresh snow, you'll need a rubber snow blade. On the other hand, to clear frozen snow, consider a steel snow blade. With these recommendations, it will be easier for you to choose the right quad blade for your needs.
Once you've made your choice, you'll need three components to install the blade on your quad:
- A mounting plate mounted on the chassis to accommodate the push-arm installation ;
- the push arm, securely attached to the plate, for installation of the blade;
- Finally, installation of the snow plough on the push arm.
TONNYCAT offers you a selection of the best blades for quad or ssv. Universal blade or RM4 blade with mounting arms and blade pulleys. You'll find Kolpin, MOOSE RACING and KIMPEX snow blades.
