Equipping your SSV for racing or for the pleasure of optimizing:
All vehicles taking part in a race must be two-seater.
For racing, the maximum diameter of wheels (rims or flange + rim) is set at 14 inches.
The outside diameter of complete wheels is 30 inches.
The maximum width of complete wheels is 10 inches.
Studs must be 15mm high and spaced 15mm apart.

We recommend the excellent ARISUN AFTER SHOCK tire, for example:
With this type of tire, you can fit the same tires on both the front and rear. This increases traction and power.
The handling of the SSV will also be much better!
And the icing on the cake: the spare wheel will be identical and can be fitted to both the front and rear! And that's just as well, because in racing, the spare wheel must be identical to those fitted to the vehicle, as is compulsory in rallying, and their number is limited to 2.
When it comes to rims, we offer a wide choice! For this type of tire, opt for 4 rims 7 inches wide, in 14X7 for example.
To avoid any projection to the rear of the vehicle, effective mud flaps in rubberized fabric or plastic (minimum thickness 5 mm) are mandatory behind the drive wheels. These must cover at least the width of each complete wheel, and be no more than 10 cm from the ground when the vehicle is stationary.

FIA 8855 1999 or FIA 8862 2009 approved bucket seats are mandatory for all vehicles. Seat supports must be rigidly fixed to the chassis by welding or bolting with a minimum diameter of 8mm.
To fit bucket seats to your SSV, you'll need :
- adapter plates, different for each SSV
- bucket seat side mounts this is a universal model

Harnesses complying with FIA standard 8853-98 are mandatory until 31.12.2022. It is forbidden to attach seat belts to seats or their mountings.
The original vehicle anchorage points must be used. Straps must not be worn by rubbing against sharp edges. The shoulder straps can also be attached to the safety frame or to a lap bar by a buckle, or they can be supported by or attached to a transverse reinforcement welded to the safety frame.
Moose Racing 2" leisure harnesses are very comfortable and use the same fastening system as the original.

One belt cutter per occupant must be on board at all times. They must be easily accessible by the pilot or co-pilot seated in their seat with their harness fastened.
Nets complying with article 283.11.3.2 are compulsory and must cover the entire length of the area between the front roll bar and the main roll bar, and the height from the bottom of the door or door cross to the top of the safety frame. The net must be fixed to the opening frame, with the top permanently attached and the bottom easily detachable from both inside and outside.

Each vehicle must be equipped with at least one 2-kg manual fire extinguisher complying with article 283.7. The extinguisher must be accessible to the driver and co-driver without having to get out of the vehicle.
At least one inside rear-view mirror and two outside rear-view mirrors, one on each side of the vehicle, must provide an effective view to the rear. They must each have an effective reflective surface of at least 90 cm2.

A towing eye or strap must be fitted at the front and rear.
A windshield is optional. If the SSV is fitted with one, it must be made of laminated glass, 5 mm thick polycarbonate or replaced by a metal mesh acting as a stone guard.

The general circuit-breaker is mandatory and must cut off all electrical circuits (battery, alternator or dynamo, lights, horns, ignition, electrical controls, etc.) except the fog light, and must also stop the engine. The circuit breaker must be of an explosion-proof type, and must be operable from both inside and outside the vehicle.
You'll also need a circuit-breaker pull cord.
The noise level of the vehicle's exhaust must not exceed 100 decibels for competition. We offer the best exhaust systems on the market!

As an option, we offer you the possibility of changing the steering wheel for an optimized riding position with a precise and efficient grip, and to take advantage of the hub's "snap off" system! (a very practical way of washing the vehicle without getting the steering wheel wet, and above all a very good anti-theft device! )
