What's a Power Commander 5 / Power Commander 6? Which quads are concerned?
The Power Commander 5 is a Dynojet box that controls and adjusts the fuel injection mapping on quads fitted with a fuel injection system. It is generally used to optimize engine performance and improve fuel consumption efficiency.
It's an additional box connected in series to the original box on your quad, motorcycle or ssv, enabling you to adjust fuel injection without having to modify your wiring harness, because the Power Commander is plug and play! It's usually delivered with illustrated instructions for easy installation.
The Power Commander allows you to modify your machine's injection settings to match any modifications you've made, such as fitting a line, a GREEN or K&N air filter, or removing the catalytic converter. Injection modifications are not definitive! The day you disconnect your Power Commander, you'll return to the basic setting.
Lhere are two ways to set up your Power Commander:
1/ Predefined Dynojet maps for your machine are available for download from the Dynojet website. These are generic maps which may not be perfectly suited to your machine.
2/ An authorized Dynojet center, equipped with a Dynojet power bench, can offer you a customized map that takes into account all your machine's characteristics. We recommend this solution, as it is the best and will give a truly optimized result! Your machine couldn't be more efficient!
Another advantage of the Power Commander 6 is that you can install a shifter directly on the Power Commander if your bike has 4 injectors, or via an additional box such as the Quickshifter Expension Module or Secondary Fuel Module for bikes with 8 injectors.
We strongly advise you to install a Power Commander when you add a racing line or a GREEN air filter to your original configuration. In most cases, you won't get the maximum performance from your machine if you haven't installed this type of box.
The Power Commander 5 can be used with many different quad, SSV and motorcycle models, and is compatible with a number of external sensors that can be added to further improve the accuracy of fuel injection mapping.

When you install a PC5, you'll notice a marked improvement in your machine's performance, and an erasing of problems such as overheating, jerking acceleration and knocking.
Power Commander 5 not only acts across the entire engine speed range, but also across all throttle positions.
The difference between the maps allows optimization according, for example, to exhaust brand or air filter type if these are not original. All you need is a computer to load the maps directly onto the box.
