Brake pedal RFX Pro FT - black/red de RFX

The RFX Pro Series brake pedals are designed and tested at the highest level.

The Pro Series brake pedals are made of 7075-T6 aluminum and feature a forged OEM-style axle. The smooth finish of the axle helps reduce wear associated with a rigid design.

The Pro Series flexible tips are made of CNC-machined aluminum and feature a spring-loaded rotating tip that, in case of impact, such as in a rut, rotates to reduce damage. The tip also has steel teeth to improve grip in muddy conditions.

The Pro Series flexible tips also incorporate a stopper on the rotating tip, which prevents the tip from rotating beyond 90 degrees, thus avoiding damage that may occur if the tip rotates under the crankcase cover.

The Pro Series brake pedals also include a brake protection cable, which helps prevent the pedal axle from twisting in a collision.

  • Forged axle for increased core strength.
  • Smooth axle design to reduce surface wear.
  • CNC-machined aluminum flexible tip.
  • Rotating action to reduce impact damage.
  • Steel teeth for improved grip.
  • Mechanical stopper on the tip.

Assembly Instructions:
  • Start by noting the height of the pedal tip relative to the footrest.
  • Remove the R-clip or split pin at the rear of the brake bolt located behind the frame.
  • Remove the pivot bolt that holds the pedal to the frame.
  • Detach the pedal return spring and let it hang.
  • Rotate the pedal outward to expose the split pin at the rear of the pedal hook.
  • Remove this split pin and the centering stud; the rear brake pedal will now be removed.
  • Remove the O-rings from the old pedal, clean them, and reinstall them on the new pedal.
  • Clean all parts with a multi-purpose lubricant such as Maxima MPPL, ready for reinstallation.
  • Reinstall the brake hook, centering stud, and split pin.
  • Reinstall the return spring.
  • Apply Maxima waterproof grease to the pivot bolt, align the pivot hole, and reinstall the bolt.
  • Tighten the pivot bolt to the required torque as per the owner's manual.
  • Reinstall the R-clip or split pin at the rear of the pivot bolt.
  • Once the pedal is attached, adjust the pedal height to the correct position and free play, by loosening the nut above the hook and turning the plunger bolt inward or outward as needed.
  • Now install the brake protection cable.
  • Japanese models - Remove the nut and lower washer from the engine, replace the old washer with the new one attached to the brake protection cable.
  • KTM models - Remove the new washer attached to the brake protection cable, set it aside as it is not needed on KTM models, loop the cable around the lower engine mount and replace it in the crimp fitting.
  • Adjust the correct tension of the brake protection cable, remembering to allow the pedal to extend downwards.
  • Crimp the fitting with pliers and cut the excess cable.
