The Battlax BT46 is designed to replace the famous Battlax BT45. Since its introduction 22 years ago, the Battlax BT45 has become the reference tire for motorcycle travel. Bridgestone has modernized this design with advanced technologies. The Battlax BT46 features an inverted V-shape in the front pattern, which helps reduce irregular wear, manage workload forces on the tire, and provide incredible feedback to the rider for superior handling.

The rear tire is enhanced with a new single-layer silica compound to maximize performance, grip, and wear. Wet performance has been improved compared to the BT45, without compromising the well-known dry surface handling performance and wear resistance of its predecessor. The BT46 is compatible with the UM application: tubeless marked tires are approved for mounting on tube-type rims if used with a tube.

Bridgestone has specially developed this tire to cover the wide range of competing motorcycles in the travel segment. Available in 21 sizes for the front and 27 sizes for the rear. Ten main sizes will be launched in January 2020, with the full range rollout to follow shortly after.
